Choir Master Michael Ogilvie

Michael Dennis Ogilvie or most commonly known as "Kuya Mike" stands as an institution in Koro de San Miguel. Institution in the sense that he has carried the legacy that the forerunners of Koro de San Miguel has imparted to him. Being the oldest member of Koro de San Miguel, though not necessarily the oldest in age, he has contributed a lot of his talents, dedication and efforts for the choir's musical and most specially, spiritual progress. Kuya Mike is indeed a born musician. His inclination to music can be traced from his childhood, as he started playing the piano at the young age of six. He formally started as a pianist for Singles for Christ choir and later on for St. Anne, then, Koro de San Miguel. Kuya Mike has been a very active participant of ICP's organizations. He has been continuously serving our parish starting from Two Hearts Charismatic Group, to El Shaddai and to Singles for Christ in 2000. With his background in music and sheer determination to serve God, Koro de San Miguel's existence largely comes from this man's efforts. Some people may stereotype him as the disciplinary director, quite true, but first impressions never last. Sabi nga nila, music directors can be typically masungit...but can they be typically comical with a hint of stylish confidence? Not everybody but Kuya Mike...He can be a box of chocolates, you may never know what you'll gonna get but every bite is worth the mystery because he is a complete pack of brilliance and diligence to his craft and genuineness to all of his friends.
